For steel guardrails, durability and reliability are essential. Whether it is for road installations or for protecting buildings, walls, and equipment on streets or worksites, industrial barriers must withstand high loads. To securely fasten crash barriers to the ground, a guardrail composite adhesive anchor kit approved by DIBt is available. It meets the requirements for construction products (safety posts, tube guards, steel clamps) and is therefore also suitable for use in StVO areas for attaching crash barrier systems according to DIN EN 1317-5 requirements.
Composite adhesive or chemical anchors M16 (length 165 mm) allow posts to be quickly and easily fastened to the ground with a drying time of just about 25 minutes (on dry surfaces and at temperatures above 5°C).
The installation is simple: place the post in the designated spot, mark the attachment holes, drill holes with a diameter of 18 mm and a depth of 125 mm using a hammer drill or impact drill. Clean the holes, insert the chemical adhesive, and use a rotary hammer drill and socket to screw in the anchor rods. The chemical adhesive cartridges harden, permanently fixing the anchor rods. The curing time depends on the temperature: approximately 50 minutes at 0°C, 25 minutes above 5°C, and 6 minutes above 20°C. On wet concrete, the curing time doubles. After drying, the threaded rods extend about 4 cm above the ground, corresponding to the anchor length above the ribbed section, serving as an installation depth indicator. The post is attached to the protruding parts and secured with the included washers and nuts. For tightening, a 24 mm socket wrench, ring spanner, or open-end wrench is required.
